Baloda Bazar, 23 November 2024/For free treatment up to 5 lakhs in government and in-panel private hospitals, elderly people above 70 years of age will have to get a new Ayushman card made by clubbing. If the card is not made, government or private hospitals will provide treatment facilities within the old limit according to the type of ration card. If you have a BPL card, the entire family including him will get free treatment up to 5 lakhs every year and if you have APL, then you will get free treatment up to 50 thousand. After getting KYC done, a separate Ayushman card for the elderly will be generated. With this card, they will be able to get themselves treated up to Rs 5 lakh in any government and in-panel private hospitals. According to the details recorded in the ration card, there are a total of 49 thousand 734 people in the age group of 70 plus in the district. Most of these names are recorded on the ration cards with their families. Till now they have been getting treatment facilities according to the ration card issued to their family. Since the new scheme is an Aadhaar number-based scheme, there will be no need for ration cards in KYC. People in the age group of 70 plus will be able to get their cards made online with their Aadhaar card or by visiting any Choice Center.

1. Sitting at home – For people in the age group of 70 plus, the best way to do KYC sitting at home is to go to the website https://beneficiry.nha.gov.in. On searching, the page that opens, two links to YouTube are displayed on the left side. One link is related to the Ayushman card of people below 70 plus age group. The second link gives detailed information about KYC and card-making for the elderly.
2. At authorized centers- The facility of getting KYC done and making cards for the elderly is also available at the primary health centers/community health centers/district hospitals and registered private hospitals of the district. As per the district nodal, people can also get Ayushman cards made with Aadhaar cards at Choice Centers. It is mandatory for people of the 70-plus age group to get a new card made for free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh apart from the family quota.
